Let me first make a disclaimer that the yogic techniques denoted at the bottom of this article are only for those with certain capabilities and advanced spiritual knowledge. As for the ordinary individual, this may serve as a guide to a person’s full health history, especially for more “mysterious” ailments (e.g., MCAS, dysautonomia, long COVID). Jyotish is a very ancient tool devised by rishis (enlightened people), unlike Western Astrology, which was primarily developed by ancient scholars and mathematicians (i.e., otherwise ordinary people). Jyotish is frequently used by old generation vaidyars (Ayurvedic practitioners).
I am simply passing down this knowledge unlike the money-hungry frauds of the internet who profess themselves as “gurus”.
It is furthermore not my problem if you lack respect for the unknown.

Chapter 1 — Pancha Mahabhootha
Pancha mahabhootha means “the five great elements”. These elements are called “thathvas”. They are agni (fire), jalam (water), vayu (wind), privithi (earth), and akasha (ether; space). The elements don’t correspond to actual physical manifestations of the elements, but metaphysical representations of how they intuitively feel to a person.
For example, “digestive fire” is to acid because it results in a burning sensation like fire. Likewise “wind” is to gas or electrical impulse (“what flows”), “earth” is to structure, “water” is to medium, and “space” is to the volume inside cells/tissues, ECM spacing, and EM fields and oscillations.
By the Rig Veda, agni corresponds to Agni & Suryan (along with deviations, like Mitra); vayu corresponds to Vayu and Rudra; jalam corresponds to Varuna and Soma; privithi corresponds to Privithi/Bhumi Devi; akasha corresponds to Indra, Dyaus Pitr.
Other correspondences include:
Bhagavathi = Privithi
Vishnu = Jalam
Ayyappan = Vayu
Subrahmanyam, Hanuman, Rudra, Narasimha = Agni
Dattatreya, Sadashiva, Mitra-Varuna, etc., = Akasha
Likewise, the corresponding sthalams (worship centers/lingams) for these elements are located in the following places:
Privithi = Ekambareswarar Temple, Kanchipuram (Tamil Nadu)
Vayu = Srikalahasti Temple, Thirupathi (Andhra Pradesh)
Jalam = Jambukeshwarar Temple, Tiruchirapalli (Tamil Nadu)
Agni = Annamalaiyar Temple, Thiruvannamalai (Tamil Nadu)
Akasha = Thillai Natarajar Temple, Chindambaram (Tamil Nadu)
Chapter 2 — The Directions of “Energy Circulation“
Prana (inward energy, associated with respiration, autonomic nervous system, cardiopulmonary coupling, and cortical arousal/attention networks) = vayu
Apana (gravity, what does down along the spinal cord, associated with voluntary motor commands, fine motor control, posture, balance, muscle tone, reflex readiness, heart rate, digestion, elimination, and arousal menstruation, elimination, childbirth, “grounding”, signals that dampen pain –> intent/modulation of information) = privithi
Udana (normal force, associated with functions up along the spinal cord like fine touch, vibration, conscious proprioception, temperature, crude touch, itching, muscle gone, gait feedback, organ stretch, blood pressure, chemical states, nausea/fullness –> how information is processed) = akasha
Vyana (distributed circulation associated with blood flow, lymphatic flow, peripheral nerve conduction and motor coordination) = jalam
Samana (circular/bidirectional energy associated with peristalsis of the intestine, the enteric nervous system, assimilation associated with digestion, the autonomic nervous system, and metabolic balance) = agni
In Ayurveda, there are three doshas (compositions/humors) — pitta (fire), kapha (wetness), and vata (dryness). The Western humors, yellow bile, black bile, blood, and phlegm correspond to the following:
Blood = pitta-kapha
Yellow bile = pitta-vata
Black bile= vata-kapha
Phlegm = kapha-vata (with a predominance of kapha)
The celestial bodies associated with the elements & types of energy circulation are as follows:
Sun (Suryan) = pitta = agni + jalam = samana + vyana
Moon (Chandran) = kapha = privithi + jalam = apana + vyana
Mercury (Buddhan) = vata = vayu + privithi = prana + apana
Venus (Shukran) = kapha = privithi + jalam = apana + vyana
Mars (Chovva) = pitta = agni + jalam = samana + vyana
Jupiter (Vyazham) = kapha = akasha + jalam = udana + vyana
Saturn (Shani) = vata = vayu + akasha = prana + udana
North Node (Rahu) = vata = vayu + akasha = prana + udana
South Node (Ketu/Sivan) = pitta = agni + jalam = samana + vyana
The directions associated with each planet are (remember, these are not literal mappings to their actual positions in the solar system. Astrology is a method of divination, and you can use any object to predict future events if you ascribe certain symbolism):
Sun = East; during a prasna, this shows the location of the area of the body specified by the rashi in which the sun is placed. For example, a person has an obstruction in their intestine while the Sun is in Vishakha (Libra) during the current transit (and during the prasna, it shows the Sun is afflicted or located in a bad house). This indicates their obstruction is in the middle part of the abdomen, towards the right side, and it is a pseudo-obstruction (caused by nerves; see Chapter 3).
Moon = Northwest
Mars = South
Mercury = North
Jupiter = Northeast
Venus = Southeast
Saturn = West
Rahu = Southwest
Ketu = stagnation
Chapter 3 — Diseases Associated with Each Graha
Remember that the sun is associated with: acid reflux, autoimmunity caused by “vitiated bile” (diseases related to the liver and gallbladder — could occur after viral illness, vaccine, improper diet, and so on), epilepsy, seizures, and tremors, heart disease, eye trouble, danger from enemies, weapons, and poisons, skin diseases, hair loss, blindness, diseases caused by quadrupeds, and trouble caused by the spouse and children.
One who has Sun in the langa (first house) of their horoscope needs to be aware of these potential challenges; if Sun is in the bandhak house as well, the native needs to be careful of the effects listed.
Moon is associated with: circulatory disorders, excessive sleep, laziness/sluggishness, trouble from women, colds & sinus difficulties, over-sensitivity, diarrhea, carbuncles, indigestion, tastelessness, autoimmune disorders and fevers caused by a respiratory illness, danger from horned and water animals, mental aberration, jaundice, impurity of blood, danger from water, and childhood illness.
Mercury: mental disease, troubles to the vocal organs, eye diseases, diseases of the throat and nose, fever, anemia, bad dreams, itches, psoriasis and dandruff, accidents due to actual fire, troubles from violence, imprisonment, and harm from evil demons posing as “gandharvas” (evil/immoral people pretending to be good/divine — usually these people like the arts… like singing, dancing, sex, and other activities associated with gandharvas. They also get very jealous easily).
Venus: hormonal disorders, pimples, disorders of the reproductive and private organs, anemia, troubles to the eye, urinary diseases, loss of good looks as a result of intercourse with corrupt men or women (prostitutes), rickets, early leakage of semen, problems given by the break of close friendships, and problems given by witches.
Mars: high blood pressure, severe autoimmune disorders causing widespread inflammation, epilepsy/tremors, danger from fires, poison, and weapons, mental disorders causing over-aggression, leprosy, eye diseases, appendicitis, bone marrow disorders, psoriasis, bodily deformities, trouble from authorities/police, enemies, and thieves, fighting with brothers, sons, enemies, friends, and evil spirits. Anything related to the upper limbs of the body.
Jupiter: intestinal and liver disorders, diseases arising from depression, fainting, ear troubles, giddiness, trouble in connection to gurus or religious matters, harm resulting from the curses of brahmins (priests), troubles arising from serious offenses done to wisemen and elders.
Saturn: misfortune, paralysis in the legs, weakness/fatigue, mental aberration, stomachaches, excess of internal body heat, not having people to help the native, injury to the ribs, danger to the wife and children, injury to some limb, mental anguish, blunt injury caused by a piece of wood or stone.
Rahu: palpitations of the heart, aberration of mind, danger from artificial products/chemicals/poisons, cancer/tumors, pain in the legs, and issues with the wife and children.

How to interpret: say a female has Moon, Venus in Scorpio (Anuradha, Jyestha) in her 2nd house. 2nd house = face, cerebellum, vocal cords, cervical area of the spine. Scorpio = reproductive organs, bowel, and bladder. See above for diseases/problems caused by Moon, Venus. Furthermore, Scorpio = reproductive organs, more particularly the ovaries. This person has PCOS that is related to acne, an episode of overactive bladder during the moon antardasha, and a disregulation of the HPG axis, which has been shown to impact ovarian folliculogenesis and induce autonomic symptoms, like POTS. She also has pain in the arms and shoulders rooted in PCOS (indicated by Jyestha Venus). Her PCOS is induced by psychological stress (a typical Moon-Venus in the 2nd conclusion), which was caused by separation from her close friends, the work of many witches, and romantic contacts with impure/prostitute-like members of the opposite sex. There is also a history of respiratory illness (e.g., COVID), hypersensitivity, and a history of childhood illness relating to this hormonal problem. All of these indicators can be seen from the above significations of the graha.
Chapter 5 – Houses of Analysis
The houses of concern are the 8th, 6th, 12th (dushtanas) & the 2nd, 7th (marakas) & and lagna. Sometimes the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 9th may be taken into consideration.
The bandhak houses are as follows for each ascendant. If a graha is present in one of these houses, it means the native’s “aura” is naturally corrupted by an energy that is not his own. It “pierced” his “aura” enough to affect his consciousness and life trajectory.
But if the bandhak house is empty and its lord (e.g., for Thulam asc, bandhak lords are Suryan, Shani) is just associated with Gulikan or Kethu, the person had black magic done on them, whose effects are primarily external and depend on the horoscope. This is for a temporary time.
If the bandhak lord is associated with the lord of a certain house, the native receives energy from the significations of that house:
Lord of the 1st: the energy comes from the person’s own self at the present moment, or, if the birth chart, then at birth; maternal grandfather, paternal grandmother
Lord of the 2nd: the person’s general family, including spouse, or the second major partner
Lord of the 3rd: the person’s younger friends, siblings, neighbors, cousins, elementary and middle school classmates, neighborhood, etc.
Lord of the 4th: the person’s mother, house, vehicle, things they own, 4th major partner, middle (latter half) and high school classmates, etc.
Lord of the 5th: children, university classmates, the person’s ex-lovers, people who have a crush on that person, hookups, dates, etc.
Lord of the 6th: blatant enemies, those who the native sees on a daily basis during a routine or a job; if the person is an accountant, analyst, or some kind of practical profession, then the people associated with these things, maternal uncle
Lord of the 7th: 1st significant partner, best friends, partnerships, paternal grandfather, maternal grandmother
Lord of the 8th: occult, other realms, anyone associated with a place of high-level secrecy, in-laws of the 1st spouse/significant partner, people in the person’s cohort if they are pursuing a PhD, those in research professions with the native
Lord of the 9th: those the native attends graduate school with, 3rd significant partner, gurus, teachers, priests, spiritual practitioners, father
Lord of the 10th: strangers, those in society who see the native, coworkers, father
Lord of the 11th: elder siblings, elder friends, investors
Lord of the 12th: secret enemies, other realms
**It is highly recommended to not match a naturally non-bandha (pure) person with a naturally bandha-infested (corrupt) person in marriage. In the case of match-making, zero bandhas are ideal for such a person’s partner; one is okay, but more than one should be avoided. Divorce, disease, and disaster may occur, especially if there is sexual exchange (yogic, physical, etc.).
